We are not the headlines. News bulletins. Those things reserved for those people and their problems.
Death strikes us all. Similar.
Blood drips. Red. Similar.
Diseases, Earthquakes, Tsunami’s come similar.
JFK, MLK: shot dead similar.
Odd how life sometime is so sadly far from black and white.
But this is us: so simple and complicated. Each of us born with something reminiscent of former glory, but faded.
Fighting blindly for a destiny unfulfilled.
Simultaneously heroes; victims and villains in this grand story.
Progressive and backward.
Inventive and helpless.
Kind and callous and cruel.
and all, together,
